Call for fiction:

Call for short fiction: Word Smitten, an international literary e-zine provides interviews, reviews, and news of interest to the publishing and writing communities. The annual 1010 Fiction Award Bank provides a grant in the amount of $1010.00 awarded in August.

Requirements: Fiction previously unpublished, submitted through on-line procedures only, with a specific word count of 1010. All rights revert to author of winning entry upon e-publication at www.wordsmitten.com and winner will be notified by mail and by e-mail. Reading fee of $10.00. No multiple submissions. Literary fiction only.

Guidelines: We only accept submissions of on-line manuscripts until July 1, 2002 and anything beyond that date will not be acknowledged or accepted. Participants must be 18 years on or before July 1, 2002. Author's name should not appear on the manuscript. The title page of each copy should contain the title only. Provide name, address, telephone number, and title on a separate cover sheet accompanying the submission. The winning manuscript will be published August 20, 2002 in Word Smitten's literary e-zine publication.
